Interested in being a COACH?

Hello,
     Thanks for showing an interest in helping the kids by way of coaching....... The BAC is a 100% Independent ,volunteer run club,  we are not supported or funded by any level of Government .......as such we cannot survive without help from the parents and supporters. 
 
    Now I want to explain that you do not have to be a former pro or college athlete to be a good coach. We also don't expect you to know everything.  This goes for all 3 branches of our club Tackle, Cheer, and Flag.  
 
    There are several ways to get involved......on the Flag and Tackle sides you can apply to be a Head Coach (21 yrs old) or an Assistant Coach (18 yrs old).......Cheer the same requirements but they also have Jr. Coaches that are High School aged kids and are very important and a great way for Current HS cheerleaders to give back to the community.
 
       All Head Coaches are required to attend a minimum of 2 board meetings a year and attend 2 coaches clinics, All Assistant coaches must attend one of each.  We supply you with dates and locations for the clinics so no worries there. 
 
     On the football side, we also provide HOME game video footage filmed from an elevated dual camera end zone system as well as membership in the HUDL website system, that aids you in game film analysis as well as opponent game film. 
 
     We also have a great relationship with Lake Park HS football and cheer programs that do joint summer camps with us, coaches clinics and coach tutoring, we also have a great internal group of experienced people , both cheer and football  here to help you as well......all you have to do is ask.  We were all 1st time coaches once and we range from former Div 1 starters through D2 and D3 players/cheerleaders to former HS, to complete novices, so no matter you entry  point  you're not alone.  
 
    The MOST IMPORTANT factor in being a great coach is putting the kids 1st, it's not all about winning, it's about making this a great experience for kids and their families alike and creating a lifelong love of the sport and the drive to take it to the next level and competing /playing in HIGH SCHOOL.  In the past we have had winning teams that cannot get kids to return the next year because the overall experience was so poor (kids or parents or both),  on the flip side we have had teams with no wins have close to 100% retention for the exact opposite reasons.
 
    Ok now that all Head Coaches are selected by the Board via a majority vote, and coaching a previous season does not mean that person will be the coach for an upcoming season.....every position is available and voted on every season.  Assistant coaches apply through BAC but are selected by the  Head Coach, pending Board approval.
 
ALL COACHES ARE REQUIRED TO ASSIST AT VARIOUS EVENTS, such as the equipment / uniform handouts, PEP Rally etc
